Karl Takats - Tenor saxophone

Karl Takats (tenorsax, flute) was taught for several months by Michael Brecker and played among others with Joris Dudli, Wolfgang Reisinger, Bumi Fian and Christian Radovan, but also with well – known musician of the “Austropop” – genre like Heli Deinboek and Ludwig Hirsch. He is also known to many jazz fans in Austria through the radio - he presented the Jazz Magazine “Round Midnight” on the public ORF for years. In October 2006, Karl Takats played a jam – session together with John Abercrombie, Geri Allen and Jack deJohnette.
